| March 07, 2007 | | V-me, a national Spanish-language television network presented by public television stations, launched on Monday. | The first national Spanish-language television network hopes to bring a new kind of quality entertainment to Latino viewers, featuring the best of public television. V-me (pronounced "veh-meh") is the first venture announced by media production and distribution company, V-me Media Inc. The network launched Monday March 5th, and broadcasts content in four main categories: kids, lifestyle, factual and current affairs, movies and special events.
The name V-me comes from the Spanish veme, which means see me. “This name speaks volumes,” says Mario Baeza, Founder and Executive Chairman of V-me. "Latinos contribute so much to our country, culturally and economically.”
V-me has been launched in markets representing more than 60 percent of all U.S. Hispanic homes and is now carried in approximately 24 million U.S. homes. Within its first year, V-me plans to increase its distribution to 50 million homes.
If your company wants to market to the growing Hispanic demographic segment, you will want quality Spanish translations or interpretation services from a professional translation agency such as Language Translation Inc. in San Diego. To begin the translation process, you may request a quote, look up rates, or contact us. “We speak your language…and theirs.”
