Localization: Yahoo! India Now Available in Seven Languages

The Yahoo! India portal has been translated and localized to seven Indian languages: Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Punjabi and Gujarati.

Yahoo! India has launched a new version of its web portal in 7 Indian languages. Users can now access their favorite content-related features in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Punjabi and Gujarati, reports India PRwire.

Yahoo! expects 200 million more Indians to connect to the Internet over the next few years, and wants to reach as many potential customers as possible. “Innovation is the key driver for our product development, explained George Zacharias, Managing Director, Yahoo! India. “This will add value and excitement for our users and advertisers."
