Monterey Institute graduates offered free language translators membership
The Northern California Translators Association is offering a six-month membership to graduates of the prestigious international studies institute.
The nation's largest translation association, The Northern California Translators Association, announced in June that it would propose free six-month memberships to all 2009 graduates of the Monterey's Institute of International Studies' MA program in Translation, Interpretation and Localization.
The Association's objective is first to recognize the graduates' achievement, but also to integrate them quickly into the field of professional language services. The new members will receive almost all of the benefits of regular membership, including social networking opportunities, access to job postings, and discounts on training sessions and seminars.
"We see this as a wonderful opportunity for both of our organizations..." said Yves Avérous, vice president of NCTA., in a recent joint press release. "NCTA can help open doors for them, while at the same time bringing new voices and vibrancy into our own organization that we hope will remain for years and years, if not a lifetime, beyond this complimentary membership."
Indeed, translators associations and other professional organizations help freelance translators and language service providers network and keep abreast of new trends in the field. Language Translation, Inc., located in San Diego, has been in the language business for 20 years. We are a member of several professional associations.
Let us show you how good translation should be.
